Aaron Corp doing what he can for USC

Aaron Corp, whose efficient play allowed him to emerge from spring practice as USC’s No. 1 quarterback, was just about perfect in mop-up duty Saturday against San Jose State.

Corp entered the game with 14 minutes left and completed all four of his passes for 45 yards and a touchdown in two series.

Corp, a redshirt sophomore, was atop the Trojans’ depth chart until he suffered a cracked fibula on Aug. 10 and lost the position to freshman Matt Barkley. Corp connected with fullback D.J. Shoemate for a 13-yard scoring pass that gave USC its final points in a 56-3 victory.
