Strasburg signs for $15 million

Stephen Strasburg agreed late tonight to sign with the Washington Nationals for a bonus of about $15 million, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. The talks went down to the 9 p.m. deadline.

Strasburg, the top pick in this year’s draft, won the Golden Spikes Award as the best player in college baseball. The San Diego State right-hander led NCAA Division I pitchers in earned-run average (1.32) and strikeouts (195, in 109 innings).
