Michael Vick will appear on the CBS news investigative show ‘60 Minutes’ on Sunday. It will be his first interview since he was released from federal prison after his conviction on charges related to running a dogfighting ring. CBS Sports’ ‘NFL Today’ anchor James Brown will conduct the interview.

The show will also include interviews with Wayne Pacelle, head of the Humane Society of the U.S., and former NFL head coach Tony Dungy, who has agreed to be a special advisor to Vick.

It would be nice if Brown could also include an interview with John Garcia at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.

Garcia is caring for some of the surviving Vick dogs and might offer some insights into what the dogs suffered and how they have done post-Vick. It would also be nice if Brown asks Vick what in his background or worldview, what part of his moral compass, allowed Vick to find it acceptable to not just kill, but also torture, dogs. Honestly, it’s an answer that might give insight into what allows a man to do this and an answer that might lead to helping others understand how to stop the same behavior.
