U.S. and Galaxy star Landon Donovan has the H1N1 virus, commonly called the swine flu, according to SI.com.

Donovan played in Mexico City yesterday for the U.S. national soccer team in its loss to Mexico, 2-1, in a World Cup qualifying match. But Donovan told SI.com that he felt ill Sunday in Miami, where the U.S. team practiced, and he went to see a doctor and was tested. Donovan said he got the test results Thursday afternoon.

Donovan also said that he caught the virus in the U.S., not Mexico.
