NBC announced today that its NFL studio show, ‘Football Night in America,’ which airs before the Sunday night football game each week of the season, will mimic ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ a bit by moving to different game sites each week.

The NBC show, hosted by Bob Costas, also will include the ‘Sunday Night Football’ crew of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth.

Costas said he was eager to earn more frequent-flier miles. ‘Hosting from the site of the game, being in the stadium surrounded by the fans and the energy and atmosphere of the event, creates an urgency and a sense of place that can’t be duplicated in the studio,’ Costas said.
