NEW YORK -- Dodgers pitcher Ronald Belisario has left the team and is flying back to Los Angeles to have an MRI on his elbow. Cory Wade is being recalled from triple-A Albuquerque to take Belisario’s place.

Belisario, who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and then released last week, has already pitched 48 innings. He threw 57 last year, and that was in the minors. He is 1-3 with a 2.42 earned-run average in 43 appearances.

The Dodgers take on the Mets in a couple of hours. We’ll have all the details later on latimes.com/sports.
