Freshman Noe Ramirez gets the start on Saturday against Louisville when Cal State Fullerton tries to secure a trip to the College World Series.

It will be difficult for Ramirez to top the performance of Daniel Renken, who pitched a three-hit shutout in Fullerton’s 12-0 victory on Friday night in the first game of a best-of-three super regional at Fullerton’s Goodwin Field.

Renken improved to 11-2, striking out 10 in a 98-pitch outing. Renken got plenty of help from Louisville hitters who could not lay off first-pitch strikes.

During their four NCAA tournament victories, the Titans have outscored opponents, 53-9.
