Larry Dixon is 3-for-3 in NHRA top fuel finals

Larry Dixon, a National Hot Rod Assn. driver, is a perfect 3-for-3 in top fuel finals this year after winning at Old Bridge Township Raceway in Englishtown, N.J., on Sunday.

Dixon, a Van Nuys High graduate, won his fifth career NHRA race at Englishtown. Only Joe Amato, with six NHRA wins at Englishtown, has more than Dixon.

Tony Pedregonwon the funny car portion of the NHRA races at Englishtown. He beat Ashley Force Hood in the final, a rematch of the final at Route 66 Raceway in Illinois the previous Sunday.
