There’s a quirky show on Fox Sports Net at 9 p.m. on Sundays called ‘Sport Science’ that tries to prove or disprove some goofy sports myths/truths and the next few episodes will be very Los Angeles-centric.

In this Sunday’s edition, Dodgers first baseman James Loney will try to hit a wiffle ball? Sounds easy, huh? Apparently not. According to evidence on the segment a wiffle ball breaks as much as four feet and can travel 75 mph and wouldn’t the Angels bullpen like such a weapon? Another segment will feature stunt man Damien Poitier trying to recreate the much-discussed Kobe Bryant/Nike commericial video purporting to show Bryant jumping over an Aston Martin sports car.

On June 7, Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic, while blindfolded, will try to shoot a better free-throw percentage than Shaquille O’Neal with his eyes open. Wait, that’s not science. That’s just what a 100 guys down at the park can do, isn’t it?
