As you can see from the video, who can blame Celtics forward Glen Davis for being a little jubilant after his game-winning shot against the Orlando Magic on Sunday?

Well, it appears the father of the kid Davis pushes past at the six-second mark wasn’t very happy about Davis’ big moment. After the game, he wrote to the NBA demanding that Davis apologize for making contact with his son and knocking his hat off his head.

Davis apologized for the incident today saying he didn’t see the boy as he made his way back up court.

But why is he apologizing? I know Davis ran out of bounds, but it’s not like he mowed the kid over -- he merely pushed past him and the kid was perfectly fine. When you’ve got a 6-foot-9, 289-pound power forward like ‘Big Baby’ roaring by, you’d better pay attention if you’re sitting courtside.

It seems as if the father was a little bitter that his beloved Magic lost and decided he’d take it out on Davis.

What’s your opinion? Do you think it was right for Davis to apologize?
