UCLA women advance past Oregon State, 62-56

Freshman forward Atonye Nyingifa scored 18 points as UCLA advanced to the semifinals of the Pacific 10 Conference women's basketball tournament with a 62-56 victory over Oregon State at the Galen Center.

UCLA (19-11) will play second-ranked Stanford, a 77-46 winner Friday over Arizona. USC plays California in the other semifinal.

Guard Darxia Morris scored 10 points and helped key a second-half comeback for the Bruins, who trailed, 26-21, at halftime. Guard Doreena Campbell also scored 10 points for the Bruins.

The Bruins tied the score on a basket by Nyingifa with 9:29 left and and took the lead for good on a three-point play by Nyingifa with 3:30 remaining.

Guard Brittney Davis scored 22 points for Oregon State (19-11).
