Victory chats with Javier Molina and Shawn Estrada

Commerce’s Javier Molina and East Los Angeles’ Shawn Estrada -- 2008 U.S. Olympians -- each recorded quick knockout victories in their undercard fights at Nokia Theatre on Friday night.

Molina, a 19-year-old welterweight, said he experienced some pre-fight nerves before his professional debut against Alhambra’s Jaime Cabrera.

‘Then I realized this is just boxing, I got settled down in the second,’ Molina said, knocking down Cabrera once before knocking him out with a devastating left uppercut as Estrada cheered on his former Colorado Springs roomate from ringside. ‘I heard him. I knew if I kept pressuring [Cabrera] he’d fold.’

Estrada, a middleweight who turns 24 next week, ended his fight with three knockdowns in 1:41.
