Dustin Brown’s newborn son, born eight weeks early, is in the neonatal intensive care unit but doing better. Here is an update from Brown’s wife, Nicole:

‘Mason Cole Brown was born on Monday, Feb. 23 at 9:04 p.m. He weighed 4 pounds 4 ounces, was 16.5 inches long, and was born at 31 weeks 4 days. He is now in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where he will remain for the next several weeks. Hopefully in the next few days he will be getting his IV out and move from the incubator to an open crib, but right now he is having trouble regulating his temperature, which is preventing the move. He is on a feeding tube and we hope to start trying to bottle feed in a week or two. He is gaining weight, which is a good sign, and is just today back at his birth weight.’

We wish the Kings’ captain and his family well.
