NHRA Funny Car driver Ashley Force Hood won at Houston Raceway Park. Jack Beckman, an NHRA Funny Car driver from North Hills, was the runner-up, his best showing of the season.

Greg Pursley, a driver from Canyon Country in the NASCAR Camping World Series West, gears up for the second race of the season at All-American Speedway in Roseville, Calif. Pursely won the West Series season opener at Thunderhill Raceway in Texas.
