Earlier this week, UCLA freshman gymnast Vanessa Zamarripa notched her second perfect score of the season. She earned the 10 on a vault during a quad meet against Boise State, Washington and Cal State Fullerton. The Bruins, who hosted the event at Pauley Pavilion, finished first in the team standings.

Zamarripa also had a perfect vault last month at Fullerton.

UCLA has now won five straight meets since falling in their season opener at Utah. This was the first competition for UCLA since the squad was sidelined with norovirus in late January.

This weekend the Bruins head to Nebraska to face the Huskers, Minnesota and North Carolina State.
