Video: Half-court bank shot equals $165,000

Here is video of USC senior Robert Ward of Mission Viejo banking in a half-court shot between the third and fourth quarters of Tuesday night’s Lakers game. (It’s No. 3 in this ESPN video).

The 23-year-old Ward, whom Adam Rose wrote about in an earlier blog post, won $165,000. It was the first first time a fan actually hit the shot in the three-year history of the promotion, which is sponsored by the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas.
