USC and UCLA recruiting rankings through the decade

Pete Carroll landed another top recruiting class for USC. Rick Neuheisel landed a surprisingly good recruiting class for UCLA.By the end of National Letter of Intent day, USC had landed yet another top recruiting class and UCLA had proved that it is serious about returning to the nation's college football elite.

The Trojans remained in the hunt for a couple uncommitted stars late Wednesday, but even if they miss out on those players, USC is likely to finish in the top five for the sixth time in seven years according to Rivals.com.

The Bruins surprised a lot of people by landing a top-five class for the first time this decade, according to Scout.com. This is officially Rick Neuheisel's second recruiting class, but last year's class was more a product of outgoing coach Karl Dorrell and then-defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker. Actually, give most of the credit to Walker.
