I bumped into New Orleans Coach Sean Payton at the Indianapolis airport last week when we were both coming in for the NFL scouting combine. I started a sentence, and he finished it.
‘Did you see the YouTube video...’ I said.
‘Of the guy jumping out of the pool!?!’ he said.
If you haven’t seen it, you need to check it out. It’s a clip of San Jose State defensive lineman Jarron Gilbert exploding out of the shallow end of a pool and leaping onto the deck. It’s an unbelievable display of strength.
Anyway, I caught up with Gilbert at the combine, and asked him what we might see next.
