CLOVIS, CALIF. -- According to the Sacramento police, Lance Armstrong’s stolen time-trial bike was returned to the police station today by an unnamed person whose name was not being released because of an ongoing investigation.

On Saturday night or early Sunday morning, Armstrong’s Astana team reported four bikes stolen from a Ryder truck including Armstrong’s time-trial bike and three road cycles. According to a Sacramento police department release, one of the stolen bikes had been found inside a garage next to the downtown Sacramento hotel where the team had stayed.

The police statement said arrangements were being made to return Armstrong’s time-trial bike. The road cycle found in the garage apparently belongs to Janez Brajkovic and was returned Tuesday. Brajkovic was riding the bike in today’s stage.
