Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch faces misdemeanor weapons charges for allegedly carrying a loaded concealed weapon in his car.

The charges, announced today by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, stem from a Jan. 11 incident when Culver City police allegedly found a 9-millimeter semiautomatic weapon in a backpack in the trunk of Lynch’s 2006 Mercedes-Benz. Lynch, 22, has been released on $35,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned April 2.
