Dodgers putting final touches on their TV schedule

February 11, 2009 |  7:30 pm

Vin Scully

Fox Sports Prime Ticket will televise 100 Dodgers games in 2009 beginning with opening day on April 6, when the Dodgers play the Padres. Details about the number of high definition broadcasts will come later.

Vin Scully is beginning his 60th season as voice of the Dodgers. He'll handle all of the home games and every road game west of the Rockies with Steve Lyons (in his fourth season). A third play-by-play announcer has yet to be announced. Some candidates are expected to try out with Lyons during spring training.

Charley Steiner, who had been the third television announcer, will do radio only this season.
