Beckham squabble not hurting Galaxy-Milan relations

Just because the Galaxy and AC Milan are about $8 million apart on their valuation of midfielder David Beckham, don’t think that the clubs are going hammer and tongs at each other, with tempers and temperatures rising by the day.

Fact is, the relationship between the Major League Soccer team and the Italian Serie A team is surprisingly cordial.

Expressions of mutual respect have been mentioned to The Times by both sides, and whichever way the Beckham saga eventually breaks-- look for him to stay in red and black -- the teams will maintain a good working relationship.

So much so, in fact, that the Galaxy has even asked AC Milan for help in tracking down a decent central defender, something that has been sorely lacking in Carson in recent seasons -- discounting, of course, the quality defenders over at Chivas USA.
