Goaltender Jonathan Quick won’t make his scheduled start tonight against the Ducks at the Honda Center. A team spokesman said Quick, who was very impressive in starting the previous six games, had flu-like symptoms and would be the backup goaltender.*

Erik Ersberg, who last played on Dec. 15 against San Jose, will start instead. Ersberg pulled a groin muscle but has been fit the last four games and has dressed as Quick’s backup.

Also, Kings Coach Terry Murray said Oscar Moller, who played for the silver medal-winning Swedish team at the world junior championships, is expected to practice with the Kings on Wednesday and could be back in the lineup on Thursday. The Kings wouldn’t need to demote anyone because their roster is at 22.

More later from the Kings’ and Ducks’ morning skates.
