Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight called off

The fight between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton, which tentatively had been set for May 2, is now off, according to Hatton's promoter Richard Schaefer.

There had been discordant negotiations over the split of the purse, and Pacquiao's failure to sign a contract he verbally agreed to caused the Hatton camp to pull out.
