So much for the shootout that the Bowl Championship Series title game was supposed to produce.

Florida’s Tim Tebow has had two passes intercepted -- which is as many as he had in 12 regular season games plus the Southeastern Conference championship game.

One reason Oklahoma is hanging in against Florida -- the score is tied, 7-7 at the half -- is that the Sooners have been able to run some with Chris Brown.

However, Coach Bob Stoops may have trusted Brown a little too much by handing the junior the ball on five consecutive plays after Tebow’s second pick of the game gave Oklahoma the ball at the Florida 26.

Four of those plays were from inside the nine-yard line, and it’s hard to believe Stoops didn’t call on his Heisman Trophy winning quarterback on any of those plays. Of course, at the end of the half, Sam Bradford did throw a pass inside the red zone -- and it was picked off.

I still like Bradford as a pro prospect, though. He has the size, quick release and arm strength to excel in the NFL.

Tebow? I really like him as a college quarterback, a leader and competitor. But I think he lacks the required arm strength for the NFL -- and it showed a couple of times during the first half, especially on the first interception when he tried to throw a deep out that floated instead of zipped.

Tebow goes behind USC’s Mark Sanchez as a pro prospect in my book, but the USC junior should go after Bradford.
