These are not the best of times for U.S. national team midfielders DaMarcus Beasley and Maurice Edu. Both players are with Rangers in Scotland, but have been getting very limited playing time. Beasley has even talked about moving elsewhere.

On Feb. 4, however, both will hope to get on the field, if only for a few minutes, because seven-time European champion AC Milan, with the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Paolo Maldini, Pato, Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo, Gianluca Zambrotta and, of course, David Beckham, will be coming to Glasgow to play a high-profile friendly at Ibrox.

The game takes place exactly one week before Beckham hopes to makes his record-tying 108th appearance for England, against Spain in Seville, and exactly one week before Beasley and Edu hope to be playing for the U.S. against Mexico in a key World Cup qualifier in Columbus, Ohio.
