Will Illinois governor get misconduct penalty too?

December 13, 2008 |  2:20 pm

O.J. Simpson won't be the only person wearing prison stripes in Las Vegas next month. The Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL will honor Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich by wearing jerseys fashioned like prison uniforms. Blagojevich is unlikely to attend the Jan. 30 game, as his calendar is expected to be full (hearings, meeting with attorneys, etc.).

The uniforms will be signed and auctioned after the game (proceeds going to charity, not the Blagojevich defense fund).

No word yet whether former Kings owner and onetime jailbird Bruce McNall will drop the puck in pregame ceremonies.
