Unexpected place to see UCLA-DePaul

December 13, 2008 |  3:43 pm

The Wooden Classic game between UCLA and DePaul coming up today at 4 p.m. from Anaheim's Honda Center is being broadcast locally by KCAL-9 but if you are outside Southern California, check out your cable channel guide. If you have HDNet you can also see the game.

In fact it is HDNet, which offers such other programming today as Nothing But Trailers, a show devoted to, yes, movie trailers, and The Ultimate Trailer Show which looks at, yes, the best movie trailers of the year.

So if you were randomly looking for a college basketball game, you probably wouldn't think to check HDNet. Kenny Rice, whose voice might be more familiar to horse racing or boxing fans, is calling the play-by-play.
