Last call: Lakers lose

December 2, 2008 | 10:00 pm

There's only one proper way to sum up the Lakers' one-point loss to Indiana (make sure you have your sound turned up on your computer):

Big fan of the Lakers since when Kareem came to LA from Milwaukee. Enjoyed the 80s of course and the Lake Show of the early 2000s. Why I am saying any of this? I am born, raised, and still live in Saint Louis, MO. I love the makeup of the squad except for one thing - veteran leadership. Yes Kobe, D-Fish, and Odom (the enigma) are veterans but I mean one more vet that has a nasty streak and refuses to lose. Last night's debacle should show the young Lakers that U need to play 48 minutes not 36 as they did last night. Hope Phil chews them out and then make them run wind sprints till they drop because you should not lose when U are up 101-86 going into the 4th quarter.

Phil wants to zing his players with this loss. Maybe it's time to change the zen.
