Whether one agrees with the officials or not -- and they made it awfully hard to Saturday night -- the Lakers should have known better than to get on the bad side of the referees.

The Lakers were called for three technical fouls before the start of the fourth quarter against the Orlando Magic.

Luke Walton got the first ‘T’ in the first quarter, given to him by referee Joe Crawford, who is known to have a quick trigger. Walton didn’t agree with a foul call.

Andrew Bynum got the second technical issued to the Lakers, also by Crawford, after he complained about a traveling violation.

Late in the third quarter, Pau Gasol was called for a technical by referee David Jones as they were heading up court.
