Sun Yue (pictured at left) can either thank Luke Walton for getting sick or Lakers Coach Phil Jackson for having a different sense of humor.

Walton didn’t suit up Sunday night against the Milwaukee Bucks because of flu-like symptons he suffered Saturday night.

With a roster spot open, Jackson activated Sun for the first time this season.

The last time a Laker was unable to play because of health reasons -- Chris Mihm missed a game because of an ankle injury -- Jackson activated center DJ Mbenga.

This time, Jackson decided to go with his rookie guard, a second-round draft pick from China.
