Ducks acquire David McIntyre for Brian Sutherby

The Anaheim Ducks made a small maneuver today, sending forward Brian Sutherby to the Dallas Stars for center David McIntyre and a conditional sixth-round pick in 2010. McIntyre, a fifth-round pick in 2006, currently plays for Colgate University.
The move frees some salary-cap space for the Ducks, who were $300,000 under the $56.7-million cap. Sutherby is making $700,000 this year. The Stars were looking for a forward with NHL experience after Sean Avery was suspended and ordered to seek an anger-management evaluation.
