Dara Torres, the 41-year-old mom who came away from this summer’s Beijing Games with three silver medals, will be among six athletes to be honored during the 29th Annual Thurman Munson Awards dinner set for Feb. 3 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

Torres almost won a gold in Beijing but finished second in the 50-meter freestyle -- just 0.01second behind Germany’s Britta Steffen.
