At Wrigley Field: A webcam's view of Winter Classic rink
There have been a fair number of posts on ice hockey today (and one on figure skating is coming up), but seeing Wrigley Field with an ice rink at the heart of it is something to behold. It's almost 5:30 p.m. Pacific time, and doesn't the snow look inviting? Hmmmm.
The NHL set up this webcam that shows the Winter Classic field of ice live -- well, actually, there is a 15-minute delay built in by the league. Just click on the arrow in the center of the video. Keep watch over Wrigley until the game between the host Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings begins.
The puck is dropped at 10 in the morning here in L.A., on Channel 4. Helene Elliott is in Chicago and will be at the game for us and will be filing on it.

The rink looks awesome! As Helene wrote, even the NHL can't screw this one up. But we'll just have to wait a few more hours to see for sure. L.A. vs. Anaheim in the Coliseum in 2010 would be way cool. A West Coast Winter Classic, to be sure.
