Hapless Oakland Raiders release DeAngelo Hall
The Oakland Raiders continue on their own bridge to nowhere.
The acquisition of DeAngelo Hall during the off-season was supposed to help them rebuild. Instead, they released him today, eight games into a seven-year, $70-million contract. With Hall's dismissal, he ended up with about $8 million of that money.
So much for his offer this week to help pay former Virginia Tech/Atlanta Falcons teammate Michael Vick's salary if the Raiders would sign him after he's released from prison next year.

Okay, now i was watching ESPNEWS last night when i saw the "breaking news" headline at the bottom of the screen, and i was absolutely S H O C K E D.....I was speechless. This is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard of. How can Hall really be that bad? Hes supposed to be one of the best corners in the league, and the Raiders RELEASE him. Now i am a Raider fan, and i will say as much as the next guy on how bad he was, but wouldnt anyone keep him for one year and then trade him for some value or something? The Raiders gave up some pretty decent things to get him!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor choice raiders..

Hall got waived for bad mouthing Russel and/or promoting the idea of signing Michael Vick in the off season. He basicaly was saying that Russel stinks and they should sign Vick next year. Al Davis has already shown where his allegiance is by firing Kiffin for even questioning the drafting of Russel. So Al Davis picked Russel and won't tolerate ANYONE that does not support him. I guess if they still want to play in Oakland everyone should shut up and support Russel or they will get waived. That's Al (The Godfather) Davis Style.
