Oakland Raiders and Michael Vick a match?

November 3, 2008 |  1:50 pm

JaMarcus Russell is hit during Sunday's game against the Falcons.

The Oakland Raiders, with their reputation for signing wayward players, would seem to be the logical destination for Michael Vick when he leaves prison in July, 2009.

Michael Vick Three Raiders players, DeAngelo Hall, Ashley Lelie and Justin Griffith, said Sunday they'd even be willing to part with some of their money if it would help Al Davis sign Vick, provided the NFL reinstates the former Atlanta quarterback.

Their comments might be taken as a vote of no confidence in quarterback JaMarcus Russell, but the story in today's Contra Costa Times suggests Vick would come back in another offensive role.

That's it I had enough of this !! I think there are valid arguements on both sides of this blog and enough to really mak anyone ponder. I am not perfect I hjave done some things im my life that wish I could bury, but so has everyone and if they have not they will and if you still don't than yo have no consious. Point made murder is murder, but if you say it that way so is deer hunting,so is what that triner did to 21 polo horses way deaths caused than what Michael Vick did "all for the love of the game". There' re many sports in america alone that use or misuse animals I have seen men beating the horse shoes off a horse just t make it perform better in a race, but it's accepted in every culture if PETA feel so adamant about why don't boycott racing horses. And don't let horse get hurt they are gonna shoot his ass and call it mercy killing, sure they show love and compassion to their horses when they don't race, but compettior would you always take care of your bread and butter and that is just one sport. Now for the football stand poit as a owner I would sign Michael Vick as QB for my team yes i would lose fans, but I quarantee I would get more in return alot of people are so small minded and forget that the NFL is played on tv set all over the world and so that means more marketability and if my memory serves me right Michael Vick led the leauge in not just rushing yards as a QB consistently, but with jersey sales as well you tell there is not a child in China wearing Vick jersey right now.

What Vick did was unacceptable, but he has lost alot of things and more importantly he was taken away from his children and family granted he did to him self, but I know those children want their Father. Michael Vick is an extraordiry QB and athlete and God Given talent will always be tere maybe need a tune up, but always there any team that acquires Vick will be instant favorites for the playoff and depending on the team a superbowl favorite.

I hope to God they sign Vick. Would be perfect. I'd love to see that.

Trade JaMarcus and some others away too. Get some talent together quickly and win the super bowl. They've needed a QB since Gannon left.

This guy is crazy. How can anyone say this guy deserves a second chance. You must be as crazy as he is. To abuse animals he will likely abuse children and women. What is wrong with you people. Glad I don't know you. You are as crazy as he is.
