Just say no to the Rolex -- and goodbye to Susan

I tried to stay away from ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ really tried not to watch any more.

When Lisa Wu-Hartwell’s ex-Oakland Raiders husband, Ed Hartwell, danced in his Speedo for the wives, it wasn’t good. When former Cleveland Cavaliers captain Eric Snow’s wife, DeShawn, invited Atlanta’s big spenders to come to a charity fundraiser at her house -- and poor, innocent DeShawn was left with a big party bill and no money raised for any charity -- it was worse.

But I couldn’t help myself.

I watched again Tuesday after tiring of the election results. I flipped channels and stopped on Bravo because Eric Snow actually had a speaking part this time. He presented DeShawn with what seemed to be a lovely, thoughtful and completely extravagant birthday present -- a Rolex watch with a blue face and a stainless steel band.

Eric told DeShawn how he remembered her pointing the watch out to him in a jewelry store window in Monaco, where the couple honeymooned.

DeShawn kind of fake-smiled, told Eric how nice it was he remembered, shut the Rolex box and asked Eric if he minded if she didn’t wear it to whatever big party they were going to attend that night because it clashed with the gold stuff she planned to wear.

OK, are you kidding me?

Turning your nose up at the blue-faced Rolex? A woman who does that is not allowed to be on a television reality show that celebrates extravagance and over-the-top consumerism. DeShawn doesn’t have the sense God gave her.

Oh, and Kim can’t sing, but she had the best line of the season when she (the only white woman on this show) brought Sheree Whitfield (former wife of Carson’s own former NFLer Bob Whitfield) along to hold her hand during a Botox session.

Kim, who says she is 29, looked at Sheree, who is 38, and was disappointed that Sheree didn’t need Botox because, as Kim said, ‘Black don’t crack.’

Sheree agreed.

Because of some travel conflicts, I missed the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ results show on Wednesday and had to search around to learn that Susan Lucci was eliminated. That one has been coming for a while. I actually thought Cloris Leachman would outlast Lucci, whose looks have hardly changed since I first started watching her on ‘All My Children’ (I won’t say when).

I guess ‘Lucci don’t crack’ either, Kim.
