It doesn't get much sadder than this YahooSports! story about John Daly.
And, sadly, this development is more or less predictable. Who thought there might ever be good news again about John Daly? But it's still frustrating to see this squandering of incredible talent, personality and potential.
Speaking of sad developments, earlier, the Fabulous Forum reported on another troubled situation.

It seems like he's having fun to me. Why do all the haters pick on this guy. I guess it's easy, takes their mind off their own pathetic life!!!

This is truly a sad waste of talent. BUT, he's still young enough to whip himself into shape and have a comeback of sorts. ATTENTION REALITY TV PRODUCERS -- This guy would be a gold mine. The premise: Daly gets in shape, and has the biggest comeback of his life. The show could center around his quest to lose pounds, gain lots of muscle tone, and either quit or curtail the drinking. I swear to you, to anyone who will listen to me - a reality show on this guy would be huge. He has so much talent, so much. The drinking and obesity? They cause all of his other problems. Knock those two things out - and everything starts to domino - in a good way. The talent would shine through with a clear head and a new sense of self-respect. No one's saying he'll win any huge championships, well maybe, but he would play SO much better and make ALOT more money. PLEASE - SOMEBODY make a reality show on this guy! I guarantee it would be a success for all. Maybe the Golf Channel? ESPN?
