Greatest Super Bowl advertisement ever?

Many agree it was the one starring ‘Mean’ Joe Greene as, well, ‘Not So Mean’ Joe Greene. A kid gives him a Coca-Cola in the tunnel leading from the field and Greene responds by tossing him his jersey.

Sweet. People even remember the product it was advertising, which is not always the case for Super Bowl commercials.

Now, 29 years later, the commercial is being remade. Another Steeler, former USC defensive back Troy Polamalu, is standing in for Greene.

Like many remakes of classics, I would ask, Why do it?

I suppose the answer would be that no one under the age of 40 remembers Mean Joe Greene.
