Red Sox, Angels top list of best-run MLB franchises

USA Today ranks Major League Baseball’s franchises over the last five seasons and determines that the Boston Red Sox are the best.

Perhaps surprising to some, but not to those of us who have watched the franchise closely, the Angels are ranked second.

The Dodgers finished in fifth, behind the third-place St. Louis Cardinals and fourth-place New York Yankees.

Given that front-office continuity is one of the nine determining factors in the survey it’s a surprise the Dodgers finished as high as they did.

In any case, it is a thorough study.
