USC: Easiest road to Miami among once-beaten teams?

Charlie Weiss  Pete Carroll

The Sporting News today ranks the one-loss college football teams in order of their chances to reach Miami for the BCS title game.

USC is first, with the only roadblock, according to The Sporting News, the Nov. 29 game at the Coliseum against Notre Dame.

Have these guys seen Notre Dame play?

These score comparisons don't always hold up, but don't be surprised if this one does: USC beat Virginia, 52-7; Virginia beat North Carolina, 16-13; North Carolina beat Notre Dame, 29-24.

But maybe the Irish have an upset in them. The Sporting News doesn't consider USC the best, or even the second-best, one-loss team.
