Spanish 'eyes' controversy from Beijing Games lingers

Spanish team's controversial advertisement

The Spanish men's basketball team apparently didn't apologize enough while in Beijing for the advertisment they did with the slanted eyes. Some players even claimed the ad was a fun way to honor their Chinese hosts.

Of course, there were some who thought the whole Spanish "eyes" controversy was way overblown by the media.

In any case, now it looks as if the team's players who are in the NBA will have to apologize individually as their training camps begin.

Your turn, Pau Gasol.
