Seve Ballesteros' tumor is malignant, operation is scheduled
Seve Ballesteros' brain tumor is cancerous and he will undergo another operation on Friday after doctors discovered more swelling and bleeding.
La Paz Hospital in Madrid, in a statement released today, said the surgery is "of great complexity."
The procedure is designed to relieve pressure on his brain. Ballesteros, who retired from golf last year, was reported to be in stable but serious condition. Details on latimes.com/sports.
