Orange County-raised figure skater Sasha Cohen, one of the stars of Friday’s McDonald’s Family Tribute on Ice show at USC’s Galen Center, is leaving her options open when it comes to competing in the 2010 Vancouver Games.

Cohen, who turns 24 later this month, finished fourth at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games and won the silver medal in Turin in 2006. She hasn’t competed the last two seasons but has stayed busy appearing in shows.

Friday’s show, which will air on NBC on Nov. 16, promotes World Children’s Day on Nov. 20, and is raising money for children’s causes.

Cohen, who lives in Newport Beach, said she’s ‘definitely’ thinking about Vancouver but hasn’t made a decision yet.

‘I’m training really hard right now, and I will keep reassessing,’ she said.

‘My only timeline would be signing up to qualify the year before.’
