Report: Romo to play Sunday?

October 15, 2008 |  7:35 pm

Quarterback Tony Romo walks into the training room at the Dallas Cowboys' training facility in Irving, Texas, today.

Tony Romo wants to play Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, broken pinkie and all.

That, according to ESPN's Matt Mosley, who says he's learned that from a high-ranking team source.

Although Romo didn't practice today, he threw the ball on the sideline and reportedly had good velocity on his passes. It might have been a call from his boyhood idol, Brett Favre, that convinced Romo to play through the pain.

The Cowboys had been planning on 40-year-old Brad Johnson starting in place of Romo, who suffered the broken pinkie on the first play of overtime in Sunday's loss at Arizona.
