Red Sox vs. Angels: the chatter

October 6, 2008 |  3:44 pm

Jon Lester

A few hours to go before Game 4, which Mike Scioscia promised would take place.

Jon Lester is practically unbeatable at Fenway. His numbers in 2008: 11-1, 2.49 ERA. "You drive yourself to the ballpark and don't have to worry about anything else," Lester said. "I guess I'm just comfortable here." The Angels counter with John Lackey.

Orange County? Boston? Here's a link to a website where a columnist from one city squares off against one from the other, and they trade mildly insulting comments.

Where will CC Sabathia end up next season? Ken Rosenthal of Foxsports.com posts some odds, and the Angels appear to be at least in the running.

And the forecast for tonight: chilly with a 30% chance of rain.
