OK, we get it, Palin likes the hockey mom label

7:10 PM, October 24, 2008

Palin_2Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is probably more involved in hockey now than when she really was a hockey mom.

Palin, fresh off participating in ceremonial first faceoffs in Philadelphia two weeks ago and in St. Louis on Friday, is scheduled to get her very own Iowa Chops jersey Saturday during a McCain/Palin rally in Des Moines, Iowa. The Chops are the Ducks' American Hockey League affiliate.

According to a press release from the Chops, during an earlier visit to the state Palin mentioned she understood that Iowa had just gotten a new hockey team. "I love that name, the Chops. That's cool," she said.

The jerseys actually are cool, thanks to the logo of a rather angry pig on the front.

Maybe he just wants to play hockey without politics being involved?

I think this is ridiculous!

No body buys tickets to see a political campaign rally. Fans buy tickets to watch Hockey! Fans watch hockey to escape the political back and forth. No body wants to see Palin on the ice.

Not to mention-- she hasn't exactly been the good luck charm for the Flyers. Nor has she been a good luck charm for the Blue's goalies or team. (They lost and the goalie tripped over the red carpet and later left the game because of an "injury").

I think these owners should put their political preferences aside and focus on the team.

I think fans don't care about Sarah Palin or Barack Obama-- they care about the scoreboard.

Jeez, you obamatards need to lighten up. She is just getting a JERSEY--not an endorsement from the team! How petty can you get! Bet if it was lying Biden you would love it--'cause take that foot out of his mouth and he's just a regular Joe...

I bet now the poor Iowa Chops goalie will lose the puck in his jersey now only to have it drop down and roll into the net. The Palin Curse marches on !
