Texas is the runaway winner again of the weekly coaching Legends poll, leading the field with 17 first-place votes.

There are 18 former coaches voting, so that means one isn’t on the Longhorns bandwagon, and that one is former Arizona State Coach Frank Kush, who still has Alabama as his top team.

That Kush was always a stubborn one, wasn’t he?

The Legends’ top 10 is Texas, Alabama, Penn State, Florida, Oklahoma, USC, Texas Tech, Georgia, Oklahoma State and Utah.

And here’s a switch: Former UCLA Coach Terry Donahue no longer has USC ranked higher than former USC Coach John Robinson has the Trojans ranked.

Robinson bumped USC up to No. 4 this week, no doubt impressed with the nation’s No.1 defense and its performance in a 17-10 win against Arizona. Donahue has USC at No. 7.
