Quinton Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva?

Irvine's Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is poised to fight Wanderlei Silva in a Dec. 27 card Ultimate Fighting Championship officials are calling their "fattest card ever."

Former light-heavyweight champion Jackson, still facing charges of reckless driving and evading arrest for an incident in July in Costa Mesa, has yet to sign the contract, a UFC official said on the condition of anonymity because they are not allowed to speak for the organization.

The Las Vegas show will also feature two title fights: a light-heavyweight battle between champion Forrest Griffin and unbeaten challenger Rashad Evans, and heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira versus Frank Mir.

Also, former UFC light-heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz is apparently nearing a deal with Elite XC, according to organization fighter and broadcaster Frank Shamrock. Ortiz did not immediately return calls from The Times on Tuesday night.
