Misty did the Lindy Hop and heard a pop

The rumors were true.

After teasing us all night about whether Misty May-Treanor and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy would be dancing or not, the Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist came on stage at the end of Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars" on crutches with her left leg in a cast.

No more dancing for Misty. Hard to believe, but 82-year-old Cloris Leachman lasted longer than the 31-year-old athlete. So maybe dancing isn't a sport?

May-Treanor said she was planning on taking time off from volleyball next year, so she said the injury was "perfect timing" and that, after surgery, she eventually does plan to come back to her sport. No, not dancing.

There was more teasing too, such as will May-Treanor's injury withdrawal mean someone else (such as last-eliminated Kim Kardashian) get a second chance? We won't find out until Tuesday night's results show.

Her injury doesn't make any sense at all to me. She is a very conditioned athlete who has the legs and buns of steel. She has conditioned herself to the tenth power in sand no less which is more grueling on the body than water conditioning. With her conditioning training and what she does and has done for many years her injury doesn't fit the curcumstance to me.

A Lindy Hop oh really? did she brake a crank or blow a piston? or did the rear wheel fall off after some mush striped the bolts?.

I've played softball all my life and just by a hop or jump you could go down. I've been injured because of just running or jumping. Sometimes it doesn't make sense but, it happens. I feel so bad for her. Hope everything works out. Its awful because her career in the pros might be coming to an end.
